HAFI Beschläge GmbH and GRIFFWERK GmbH will be joining forces in the future.
The amicable negotiations were successfully concluded on 12 March 2025. As part of this agreement, GRIFFWERK acquires all the shares in HAFI Beschläge GmbH.
According to the managing directors of both companies – René Fink and Jochen Maier from HAFI and Manuel Ohmayer and Matthias Lamparter from GRIFFWERK – the decision to merge was an absolute “perfect match”. It was not only the geographical proximity and the shared Swabian corporate philosophy that spoke in favour of the move, but also the fact that their skills and expertise complement each other perfectly.
Strengthening through combined expertise
HAFI plays a leading role in the contract fittings segment for commercial/industrial construction and public building projects, bringing valuable expertise to the partnership. HAFI also offers a certified, cross-trade range of fittings that complies with the highest DIN and EN standards and building regulations. HAFI has its own development and production facilities in Elchingen, as well as its own nationwide sales organisation with architectural and project consultants.
With innovations such as the integrated locking technology “smart2lock by GRIFFWERK”, GRIFFWERK has set important impulses in the industry and is a competent partner of the specialised trade with a high affinity for the trade. The company focuses on the development of perfected, holistically thought-out hardware solutions for doors with high design standards.
Through the existing co-operation with Arbonia AG, GRIFFWERK brings another strong partner into the alliance. Arbonia AG is the market leader for interior doors in continental Europe and is based in Arbon (Switzerland). The door business is currently undergoing sustained expansion.
Looking to a shared future
The future collaboration offers new opportunities to expand the range of products and services for customers in both the contract and specialist retail sectors. In addition, the aim is to gain market share both nationally and internationally.
Matthias Lamparter and Manuel Ohmayer, Managing Directors of GRIFFWERK GmbH, emphasise: “We are proud to have found a partner in HAFI that shares our passion for innovation, design and customer focus.” Even during the initial talks, it became clear how well the two companies harmonise. They are therefore looking forward to breaking new, future-orientated ground. The shared values and goals are a promising basis for sustainable success and growth.
Jochen Maier and René Fink will remain managing directors of HAFI Beschläge GmbH to ensure the smooth merger of the two organisations and to continue the long-standing relationships with customers. The usual contacts at HAFI Beschläge GmbH will continue to be available to customers. Daily operations at the Elchingen site will continue as usual. HAFI and GRIFFWERK now employ a total of around 325 people in the Ulm region on the Danube.
