A new building is being constructed on the site of the Old Trade Fair Centre in Leipzig: the BioSquare.

The versatile BioSquare office complex consists of two separate buildings and has a total gross floor area of around 26,000 m². The arrangement of the two buildings creates a closed, harmonious campus. Component A, which is fully let and has a gross floor area of around 10,000 m², will be the new headquarters of c-LEcta. Component B has seven storeys and is characterised by a clear, modern architectural language.

The building impresses with its sophisticated design, which enables maximum flexibility with four metre high ceilings and modern communication structures. The striking, clearly structured appearance of the building, designed by ‘KLM Architekten und Ingenieure’ from Leipzig, emphasises a classic, modern design language.

The project attaches great importance to sustainability: the BioSquare Campus is aiming for DGNB Gold certification and will be assessed for ESG criteria in accordance with the EU taxonomy. The new building is scheduled for completion in the second quarter of 2025. The rapid realisation and sustainable construction goals make the BioSquare an important new location for the biotechnology industry in Leipzig.

The building is home to HAFI Public Line Design 335, among other things.
