Schloss Elmau is part of "The Leading Hotels of the World" alliance and accommodates guests in a total of 115 rooms and suites in the "Hideaway". Since 2015, these capacities have been supplemented by a further 47 rooms in the newly built neighbouring hotel "Retreat". The renowned Munich architects Hilmer & Sattler and Albrecht were responsible for the design. They implemented the basic principles of the lord of the castle, which emphasise luxury as a form of highly refined simplicity, variety and individuality in all areas of the hotel

The traditional hotel was also the venue for the G7 meeting of heads of state and government in 2015 and 2022. The castle regularly hosts international cultural events and lectures on current issues of philosophy, contemporary history and globalisation.

In collaboration with the MESSERSCHMITT Systems GmbH, HAFI was able to sample the fittings of design 209 in PVD rose gold, which were subsequently installed in the 5-star superior hotel.
